Part 2 of the interview we did with Jim Perry.
Jim Perry is a podcast host, creative producer, and entrepreneur based in Seattle, Washington. His fascination for the anomalous events that happen in people's lives inspired the creation of Euphomet, a weekly podcast about the strange and our relationship to it.
Everyone has a weird story, and Jim is devoted to uncovering the intimate, human-centric version of these supernatural tales. How do unexplained phenomena, such as UFO sightings and ghostly encounters, affect us on a personal level?
His interest in the esoteric and paranormal was first inspired by staticky AM radio broadcasts of Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell and reruns of In Search Of, the investigative TV series. As an art director in the creative industry, Jim also indulges in decoding esoteric design elements and is a student of the use of symbology as magic. Jim’s ideal style of presenting the paranormal “in the raw” for a contemporary audience has been influenced by the tone and styles of arthouse sci-fi films, street art, Swiss design, indie EDM, and guerilla-documentary projects.
When he isn't deciphering the paranormal, Jim’s an experienced indie filmmaker and published comic illustrator, who enjoys hiking the Northwest and critiquing hipster culture from within the comfortable confines of obscure coffee houses. (Don't call him a snob—he was gluten-free way before it was "in.") In addition, Jim is launching DEFY Pro Wrestling in 2017 - a contemporary punk-rock Pro Wrestling product for adults, featuring the "best of the best" indie Wrestlers.
